What size monitor are you photographers rocking with?

I'm debating to replace my venerable 10+-year-old Apple cinema display. I was thinking of a 4k 27" or an ultra wide 34"

It dawned on me that it will be nice to see what other photographers are rocking with. It may give me a perspective and insight.

For instance, I can't see using all of the screen real estate of a 34" display for lightroom and if its a curved display will that skew the images?

27" iMac and 24" 4k Dell.

The ergonomics matter. A 34" 4k has a PPI of only 130, and so is going to look pixellated around 27". And of course closer might induce a bit of head swivel. So you'd maybe pick that if you're sitting back a bit more. An iMac 5k by contrast is 215 PPI I think, with the "retina" distance at 16". I find that for photography the ability to lean in close at that distance to examine say noise or the results of sharpening is quite nice. But I also use a standup desk, so it's a bit easier to do that.

And of course with 5k you get considerably more of your images on screen at 1:1 than with 4k.

Not sure why you think you can't use Lr with "all" of a 4k 34". It's the resolution (2.5k, 4k, 5k, 6k) that determines how much is on the screen; size in inches only means how large those pixels are. Like the difference between a 4000x5000 on 8x10 vs 16x20.

26” Dell Ultra-Sharp. Had a 27” and I found my peripheral vision chanllenged. Had a 26” prior to the 27” and never had an issue. So went back to a 26”.

I don’t like swinging my head back and forth to see the edges.

Dell Ultra-Sharp 27" on personal built Windows machine and 15" MBP for travel. Had a 21" LG which currently use on a dedicated security camera PC. Frankly, liked the control panel of the LG better when calibrating monitors as the Dell isn't nearly as flexible. With the same calibrations software had to use the auto 'dumb down' simplified version with the Dell where could use the advanced version capable of fine tuning the individual RGB channels, contrast and others settings on the LG.

I use a 27" retina iMac with one of the LG Ultrafine 27" 5K displays. I was away from home for a while and used a MacBook with a 24" 4K LG display of some sort.

Going with a dual display is wonderful for workflows if you're using a DAM, like Aperture, Capture One, or Lightroom. You can have your catalog displayed on one display and leave the second display dedicated to viewing images. It speeds up the culling process and can also help with pacing yourself when editing.

I have a pair of 32" screens - Benq PD3200U 2560x1440, and an Acer Predator XB321HK GSync.

I mostly use the Benq, as even with scaling I find 4k just too much. Awesome for gaming, but even after I hardware calibrated it; I just like this Benq more. The puck is awesome as I have two dedicated keys for DP and MiniDP so I can switch between Mac Pro and my PC. it has a built in KVM as well that I am itching to test...

Thanks, I'll look into that, so far my shortlist has 34WN80C and 34UM88-P I'm trying to figure out the differences between the two.

similar ro what I use, a 27" retina iMac and a 22" NEC in portrait mode for email, messaging and adobe bridge browse screen.

27" Viewsonic 1080p display (yes, I know I'm a neanderthal).

I'd like to "move up" (heh) to a 32" 1440p display (HP Omen) late in the year.
