In Photoshop, is it possible to transform the path while altering/modifying the size of the canvas of an image? By resizing i don't mean a simple resize, i want to distort the image with free distort, and i want to know if the path can also be distorted along!

In PshopCC is it possible to use the free distort command on a smartobject? I know it can be done in rasterised images, but can it be used on Smart objects?
