44mm. Need something as big as possible.
Just get an arm strap for your phone. you’ll have to manually count your heart rate BPM. But you’ll have the largest screen for a watch.

That’s a good point that I didn’t consider. I think I’ll start with the 40mm and if it doesn’t work out I’ll get the 44mm.
The screen on the 40mm is larger than the current 42mm. Hope that helps.

UI Designer once again ruining the fun…lol.

I saw someone on Twitter did a comparison and the 40mm matches up almost exactly with the 42mm display size. To be able to fit that new dense watch face the UI elements must certainly be smaller.

Indications are that 42s fit the 44, and 38s fit the 40. Words like "respectively" being used.

Oh praise God! LOL! I have a 38 now and probably about 20 bands. I’d hate to have to repurchase them all! But I definitely want the bigger screen. I think a 40 will do nicely for me.

Getting the 40mm I have skinny wrists and the screen real estate is even more then the old series 3. 42mm So win win. :)
Same. LOL

I just held my wife’s 38mm against the app “actual size” and the 40mm is slightly bigger. Hardly enough to notice. Gotta go 44 on this one.

But you’re getting more screen in the 40 regardless.

i wont be pre-ordering, i just walk into the store when they are available in hong kong apple store. They won`t be sold out for months on end anyway.

I go for a 44mm spacegrey LTE version.

I have always found the Apple watch to be very small so I'm definitely going for the 44mm.

Heavily leaning towards the 40mm. I have the 42mm now, I’m ok with the screen size and I’m impressed that the actual screen size in the 40 is bigger than what I have..

I think I’m going to wait to see them in person though..

Really torn on my watch colour. Leaning towards the below combo (GPS only), shame it’s not a standard config.

I think I'm going to for the SSG with the stone sports band.. i.e. the one used in the marketing material.

been looking at a few of the hands on video and i'm a little worried that the gold is a little more bling than i'd like.. seems a lot more matt in the images but the videos its seems quite polished

I like the 42 but 44 seems too big. It’s more screen on a wrist than watch like imo. It’s going to suck having to get new bands though.

I have an AW0 42, and I'll take a look at the 40. If it's more screen, and sharper/brighter (especially compared to what I have) then this may work for me.

The main reason I’m getting the watch is to ditch the arm strap and just leave the phone at home when I exercise.

I want the largest watch because my height is over four standard deviations from the mean and the smaller one would probably look borderline ridiculous on me.
