Honestly, I really liked Musk and everything he did for the world up until the moment he started getting political and belly-flopped into the Twitter cesspool. The game changing things he could have done for humanity with 44 billion dollars...
Didn’t Elon Musk offer the UN money to resolve world hunger but the UN was not interested, quite telling.

If world hunger was resolved many charities, NGO, etc would cease to exist. If certain disease or disorders were resolved same thing. The aim of the game is money and resolving it permanently is the end of this game. Does not take a genius to figure this out?

Elon is just an entitled billionaire who thinks he can do anything. Trump is all about manipulation and misinformation and Elon feels he needs him back on Twitter. Twitter employees can do the world a favour and all take the severance package, perhaps this will close-down Twitter. Democracy needs truth to function properly. Misinformation is disease for democracy.

Maybe Greg Joz is next to quit on Twitter? 🐣

Most will not actually quit, and the people that follow through will be back.. Just like they didn't leave the USA when they said they would. All the "quit" talk just shows what an echo chamber it was and that nobody really wants any opinions other than the ones they cuddle up with on their tear stained pillow..

The fact that everyone needs to talk about twitter 24/7 is telling. When I quit something I don't need to virtue signal that I quit it.. lol
And yet by decrying virtue signaling, you unknowingly have signaled to your peer group a perceived shared virtue within that group. To those out side the group you have signaled something else.

Protecting free speech is a game-changer. Twitter single-handily interferes with the outcome of the 2020 United States presidential elections. Trump lost by 43,000 votes.

Where did apple lie? The stuff internet randos decried as hype and lies was actually delivered. There may be some exceptions but they’d be rare.

Maybe he will do something for humanity with $44 billion. If Twitter employees all leave and Twitter closes its doors it will be for the benefit of humanity. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

Facebook next!

But... but, but... it's totally different with Facebook! Unlike Twitter, Mark had the benefit of receiving advice on how to maintain perpetual control of his company even after slapping a giant FOR SALE sign on it (which is what an IPO is, you're rich now, but you don't own "your" company anymore, the shareholders do. That's the definition of a pubco). Elon saw the for sale sign on Twitter and decided to buy it.

Mark has no such external problems, he is free to continue pursuing his obsession and vision of Meta and AR/VR, and uploading himself into the internet, like Lawnmower Man, only different! He can run Facebook into the ground and take the investors with him -- no external conflict, drama, or Forces of Evil attack necessary, he can just keep shooting himself in the head and tanking his company -- because his stock is structured in such a manner that he retains control. Twitter couldn't be bothered to do any of that. Oh well.

Focusing back on Twitter: goodness, so much racism and hate speech against a neurodivergent African American.

Apple's Phil Schiller, responsible for Apple events and the App Store, has deactivated his Twitter account following recent developments on the platform.

phill-leaves-twitter-2.jpg

Schiller often used his account to promote new Apple products, services, software, and initiatives and interact with customers. As noted on Twitter by Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, however, Schiller's account no longer exists. The account had over 200,000 followers and was created in November 2008 according to a web archive of the account dated November 4.

Yesterday, Twitter CEO Elon Musk announced that former President Trump's account would be reinstated on the platform following its suspension in January 2021. In a recent interview, Apple's CEO Tim Cook commented about the future of Twitter and the social media platform's relationship with Apple. During the interview, Cook said he remained hopeful Twitter would uphold its moderation standard under the new leadership.
