The irony is that HudMo always complains about his Macbook Pro problems on twitter

I doubt this is an Apple ad. Just as szw-mapple fan mentioned: the MBA's position varies (ever so slightly) between sticker changes; look at the edges and how the position of the Apple logo changes.

I think Apple would want the ad (and the MBA positioning) to be 100% perfect.

OK, I just saw it on the Apple channel -- I stand corrected!

Best Ad I seen for the Macbook in years!

You can't put stickers on a huge empty canvas with a glowing Apple in the middle on any laptop!

I for one have stickers on my laptop. I also just recently purchased like 20 stickers so I can cover all of it!

It reflects who you are, what you like, who you support etc...

I really hope they start selling them at the Apple Store! I mean after seeing 4 laptops in one room, it is annoying seeing them they all look alike!

This is indeed a new Apple. I hate it when people pull the “Steve would never have allowed this”, but I think we can safely say that would indeed be the case here.

Personally I love it: bullets, brands and retro logo and all! Myself, I would never deface a MB with stickers or decals, but my wife had the Snow White one and she loved it. Great that personalisation crowd gets recognised though.

This is surprising in a good way, not something that I expect from Apple.

It looks indie; Apple is trying to be little guy. This is not the typical perfected and polished product porn usually seen from Apple. I think it makes Apple look more human and less monolithic.

Perhaps the Jimmy and Dre influence is already showing up.

If you look closely, you can see smudges on the computers!

I love my MBA just the way it is. I don't fool with perfection ;)

Nice that people can customize. Apple celebrates the individual.

Why would (at least what I expect is) a sports network play an unofficial Apple ad?

So this actually played on a sports network?

One thing you'll notice in the higher quality version of the ad is how the edge of the MacBook Air is not perfectly lined up as different stickers are shown. That lack of attention to detail never appears in past ads. Is this a decline in quality control since Apple has gone in-house with their ad production?

I looks to me that you don't get the ad at all...

Yup! Same here.

I stand corrected. This is an official Apple ad. But the quality is still less than previous ads. The positioning and lighting is not perfect as the video plays out. Maybe it's an experiment to see how receptive audiences are? So far, it's a hit!

Of course I get the ad. I'm just pointing out that Apple has never released an ad where every tiny detail wasn't considered.

Jimmy and Dre are DEFINITELY influencing this. Beats logo on the top left hand corner at 00:20.;)

The fact that it looks like every tiny detail wasn't considered demonstrates that every tiny detail was considered.

I still think that you don't get the ad, at least not like me. The imperfection, indie like, is deliberate. It's cool and quite beats like, young people will really like it

I like it. If you pay close attention, they actually used people's personal MacBooks. Each Mac is a different and some have scratches and signs if wear.

Song

Does anybody know this song or is it just a custom one Apple made them self? Also, this ad is very different from anything Apple would ever make… and I really like it. It kind of reminds me of the Google Play ad too.

Spectacular ad. That's EXACTLY the type of ad that made me fall in love with Apple. Product shots...no narration...creative concept...done. Slow clap. :):apple:
