The health of our planet and its ability to sustain us is by far the largest issue facing us today, when you consider that if it cannot sustain us, there will be no us.

For some (most?), something like the health of a planet and its ecosystem is far too abstract to process. And when things are too abstract, most retreat to the comfy confines of social media.

That said, while many here are bagging on Apple for working toward a reduced carbon footprint (honestly, I get the well-documented push back), we have to start somewhere folks. When a company the size, complexity and reach of an Apple puts this type of initiative in motion, I could care less the motive - it can have real effect. Amongst other things, force the hand of many third parties. That, in general, is a good thing.

Can they do more? Heck yeah! We all can! Any efforts placed toward a more sustainable future is going to bode well for those long after us (another concept that is far too abstract for most). Fortunately, some understand, and respect that there will be generations after us. Leave it better than you found it. 😉
