My problem is it's KDE, and therefor you have multiple underlying versions of the Linux OS. it's a fabulous desktop environment that destroys everything else, but not easy to live with in some circumstance.I was really pleasantly surprised how well Linix is running. PopOS by System76 is based on Ubuntu but they tweaked it a lot with their own version of Gnome. It's really well made and everything worked out of the box. And yes, you are absolutely right, it is not automatically safer or more private. But it has a lot of possibilities.
And it is awesome that you are in control of everything. I mean you can change every aspect of the UI to your liking without any hassle or fumbling in a registry.
