Where did you get that update?
Tried the “test” update. No more demo at least. But Jeep connecting screen still sits there and fails. I’ve asked repeatedly to send me old version and they keep beating around the bush. Now I asked for a replacement dongle with the old version I’m going in circles. So glad i disputed and put a charge back on my CC!
I have. No luck. As mentioned it just worked in mode 3 in the latest version192.168.50.2 - hit "check" and it was there - about 5 mins ago. This is on a Carlinkit U2W - though I'm sure it's the same as a Carplay2air.

When you get "Connecting..." have you tried manually connecting to the adaptors wifi network from your phone? I've done this a few times, and it's what it's waiting for - so seems to help.
I have. No luck. As mentioned it just worked in mode 3 in the previous version. The dongle and phone are connecting to CarPlay. The issue is the CarPlay interface doesn’t show up. That’s where it gets stuck. But the phone thinks it is connected to carplay cause sound comes through the car. Maps apps load as they would like CarPlay etc...just can’t see the CarPlay screen
Does yours now state "Up to date?"I've now been upgraded to 2019.12.10.1831 (seems odd, as @D3ggy posted his screenshot at 1832 - but with a very odd date considering!).
Reason for release just stated as "Fixes some bugs"
Does yours now state "Up to date?"
I did the update too. Still fails at showing CarPlay screeen. Really the only thing fixed was the activation problem and the demo modeDoes yours now state "Up to date?"
I think its perfectly secure....Wireless CarPlay would be a godsend.
However, can someone comment on the security of using such a device? It appears to have the ability to connect to the internet through your phone, and I have concerns about potential vulnerabilities, for example if such a device is capable of accessing your data. I am hoping someone who is familiar with how it works (CarPlay implementation, etc.) can tell us if it is safe to use.
I highly doubt it is fixed. I updated the unit about 2 hours ago and it did not fix. Unless now all of a sudden a new update is here. I’ll check soon. If someone else with Jeep and ford do it before me check back in pleaseMassive email from Michael...but includes this....@mikejd1
The screen is stuck on "connecting"
This issue is affecting some Ford and Jeep brand owners. The issue was resolved just now, please follow the instructions on how to update it online to the public version.

Yup. Same. Phone does think CarPlay is connected but fails to display CarPlay interface on the screenUpgraded this morning. Didn’t fix my “bugs”. Screen is still just stuck at connecting.
When its stuck at the screen, have you tried turning the infotainment off and back on again whilst leaving the dongle connected? As I mentioned before it worked on a Seat Leon, but worth a try perhaps?Yup. Same. Phone does think CarPlay is connected but fails to display CarPlay interface on the screen
Yeap. Tried thatWhen its stuck at the screen, have you tried turning the infotainment off and back on again whilst leaving the dongle connected? As I mentioned before it worked on a Seat Leon, but worth a try perhaps?
Not seen that one before. That needs to be an email to Carplay2Air for support methinks.....I tried to update carplay2air this morning. But the update fails at 80%.
Now I see this screen in my Audi display.
Does anybody have a solution please?

I See the messe: Version Error in the display of the car

I still find the update available, but if I retry to update I have the same error at 80/90%...if you shut everything down / unplug the adaptor and plug it in again, close the browser window on your phone - and then start it all up again, open the browser and go to 192.168.50.2 - what do you get?

I don't even get that screen. As expected. I just tried everything. Jeep is NOT fixed. Still fails showing CarPlay screen.
Sounds like the same as mitsubishi. Have you got any other car with carplay you can try it in?I don't even get that screen.
I plug the dongle in and it does not even show up in my bluetooth on the phone.
