And who, I dare ask, was responsible for that grand and merciless killing?

Who financed Hitler's rise to power? And who benefited the most from the WW2? Follow the money.

You really grew up right in the middle of a subversive operation aren't you?
Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn is a well known part of a subversive operation who had connections with secret services. Are you a fan of Jordan Petersen?

I would say that Julian Assange is a much bigger hero to be honest.

I would say that Prescott Bush who financed Hitler's rise to power is a bigger scumbag here. While this helped to achieve a substantial financial gains for the US after WW2, it was still wrong and down the road puts the country on a brink of a very real nuclear annihilation.

I feel that with your bias against communism you are on a subtle slippery slope to begin sugarcoating Hitler's crimes against humanity and making him a bit of a hero and a champion in his war with "evil communism".

Putting an idea in people's head that nazis and communists are more of "the same" is a perfect example of a deliberate subversive operation.
I was just waiting for Godwin's law to hit this thread. You win the prize. Congratulations ... or whatever.

”Covid-zero” is a pandemic in and of itself.

I can’t believe politicians have not realized Covid is here to stay. Lockdowns won’t make it go away.

I don't think many of you understand that when they say "Lockdown" they mean: You can't leave your home period, for any reason. That means if you run out of food, you starve. If you have a heart attack, you die. The Chinese authorities don't mess around.
If they find you have covid you are shipped off to a covid camp. If you pet has covid it's killed.

China might be too harsh on controlling the virus, but I think we are overly too casual on the opposite direction. I am extremely worried each of the days when I have to stay in the office.
Pretty much. The sharp contrast is...
China has 12 cases of COVID-19 in a given city block. LOCK THE CITY DOWN
US has 200K cases of COVID-19 in a similar sized area. LET'S BE PRAGMATIC HERE.

Well lucky for me I'm not really in the market for any new Apple gadgets...
I got a classic iPod a few years back, but still keep forgetting to set it up!

I got a new 9th gen iPad last year, but if it's anything like my previous ipad (1st gen ipad air from 2013), I'll probably be using this one for 6 years before I'll be in the market for a new tablet!

China is not able to render enough ICU beds for 1.4 billion people, and since socialism does not allow scarce social resources to be dedicated to the highest bidders, the only way to ensure equity and human rights is to make sure that not too many people will get infected.

The right to live and the right to remain healthy is the most important human right. No one should trample on other peoples human rights.
Slippery slop. One can keep a slave healthy but that is no way to live and mental health would decline which would take a toll on the physical body but hey let’s loosely throw and use the term “healthy and safe”. One could argue nothing in this world or universe is safe let alone healthy. Vacuum of space not healthy or safe, staying in a zero gravity environment for prolonged period of time not health or safe, UV rays not healthy or safe, the list goes on. I am not even going to bring up planet earth as you are probably way too invested in the “healthy and safe” propaganda without being skeptical, unfortunate really.

This whole thing stinks. Why is China only now since the very beginning of the pandemic are they implementing such strict measures? Does it have to do something with the Russian war? Creating global chaos to take the heat off Russia?
Like many here you have no clue of what your speaking about. China locked down entire cities & provinces on the initial outbreak of COVID resultantly greatly reducing the risk to the general population. To be frank their methods work as other cities are now relaxing restrictions as the virus is now suppressed. I know as our daughter is in Shenzhen which was recently locked down to contain COVID.

Most who live in the west don't remotely grasp the population density nor the potential fallout of a widespread infection or the cost to life. Although from the west I've lived in China for close to 20 years and the country is very different from what is portrayed on western media with much being taken out of context.

From first hand experience the Chinese authorities are putting people before commerce & profit at significant cost. Something other countries should be doing not pointing fingers and stirring the pot to deflect from their own incompetence...

Well said @Queen6

Amazing news—I’ll let my dad know first thing in the morning as he has a flight tomorrow. Excited to start traveling again now that I know I won’t be held to orders barked by nazi Karens. :) God (aka inventor of the miracle that is the immune system) bless America and God bless the Free State of Florida!

The fact that you actually believe what you are saying is shocking. Propaganda exists through many media outlets everywhere. People and governments believing they can control if not eradicate a coronavirus like the flu is even more absurd. The reality of the matter is that many respiratory viruses become non-lethal to the majority of the population while transmission gets more virulent, lethality declines. This is probably due to immunity either from infection or robust immune system.

Do you expect the world to be shut down indefinitely? Today it’s two weeks to flatten the curve and tomorrow it will be 2+ years and guess what the virus will still be around. Do you know where most known deadly viruses are held, in biological facilities? Which means there is still the possibility of human accidents that can occur and release something unintended. Think jabs provide lifelong immunity, think again.

I'm not defending China's extreme lockdowns at all, but you're obviously making a slippery slope argument here. The goal of lockdowns is not eradication. Like masks, it's to limit the spread, so public health resources are not overwhelmed. China has high population densities, a whole lot of people to vaccinate, and a less effective vaccine. If they took the same crappy approach that we did in the US, they'd be looking at 5-10 million dead by now.
