14.9mm vs 11.5mm its a big enough difference in a mobile computer imo, but do you! If you want to keep using old intel computers do your thing.

Does anyone prefer the design of the M1 Air to the M2?

The same "intel" design has been around as recently as the M2 Pro so no need to go back to intel!
My point was that it's not as big a difference when you consider how a lot of people hold their devices - we oftentimes hold them at the edges, which is where there's not much of a difference. Again - I have both computers right here and can compare them directly.
