Their decision would have nothing to do with how they feel about Musk. Their decision would be based on the fact that the Twitter platform is used to spread hate speech and lies. Trust me, Apple and Google don't give a damn about Elon Musk the man. They care about the apps which they give permission to operate on their platforms and will protect the image of those platforms at all costs.

You do realize that there are tons of these types of groups already on Twitter. Elon hasn't and didn't just bring those types of groups on the platform. They've been around for a long while.

Should Twitter get to the point where its lack of moderation causes Apple and Google to remove it from their stores, Musk said that he will "make an alternative phone." He said that it hopes "it does not come to that," but will do so if there is "no other choice."

Is Elon looking to make an alternative phone? What does Elon Musk know about privacy and security much less a smartphone? SMH

Wrong again, kiddo.

The left just laughs at most of it but they do want to shut down hate speech and dangerous misinformation. You can spout all your "dumb guy" takes and we usually just laugh at you for being so stupid. No need to shut it down. Most of your kind are harmless little fellas.
The problem is they are not harmless. Like the old quote: a person may be sensible vs people/mobs are not. As we saw in the US Capitol.
Nothing personal, but I do no longer crave for a Tesla...
I've heard very bad comments about their Customer Support and warranties. I'll still verify those claims when I'm ready to look for a new car.
Contact me and I’ll tell you how crap they are for everything. Bad experience and never again will I recommend them or suggest people buy one.

Like how pre-Elon twitter kept censoring Libs of TikTok even though they just re-tweeted other's posts? Yet somehow not censoring the original tweet? That kind of "misinformation"?
Or the Hunter Biden laptop stories that turned out to be true? That "misinformation"?
I can go on.

Maybe Apple doesn't want to spend their advertising dollars on a platform that's routinely in the news for how dysfunctional it has become. Really has nothing to do with politics.
Spending money on Ads via Twitter is just a waste of money. I don't anyone out there is wiling to help Elon Musk to recover the $44 Billion Dollars. No one in this world will pay this much of a price now.

3 pages in and still not a single comment of how Twitter has become toxic etc. the usual blah blah stuff. Also people cannot understand that Elon is trolling or either on full attack mode cause he doesn’t give a f….and you think he is a crybaby when Twitter is still active and running after all these massive layoffs.

If Apple and Google did that it would be a massive mistake. They would have no real reason to do it except that they disagree with Musk's decisions. You can't start a practice of banning apps just because you don't like the creator. I'm not a fan of Musk but would very much disagree with Apple and Google if they did that.
Wrong. Read the App Store guidelines:
  • 1.2 User-Generated Content
Apps with user-generated content present particular challenges, ranging from intellectual property infringement to anonymous bullying. To prevent abuse, apps with user-generated content or social networking services must include:
    • A method for filtering objectionable material from being posted to the app
    • A mechanism to report offensive content and timely responses to concerns
    • The ability to block abusive users from the service
    • Published contact information so users can easily reach you
    • Apps with user-generated content or services that end up being used primarily for pornographic content, Chatroulette-style experiences, objectification of real people (e.g. “hot-or-not” voting), making physical threats, or bullying do not belong on the App Store and may be removed without notice. If your app includes user-generated content from a web-based service, it may display incidental mature “NSFW” content, provided that the content is hidden by default and only displayed when the user turns it on via your website.
    • 1.2.1 Creator Content
Apps which feature content from a specific community of users called “creators” are a great opportunity if properly moderated. These apps present a singular, unified experience for customers to interact with various kinds of creator content. They offer tools and programs to help this community of non-developer creators to author, share, and monetize user-generated experiences. These experiences must not change the core features and functionality of the native app—rather, they add content to those structured experiences. These experiences are not native “apps” coded by developers—they are content within the app itself and are treated as user-generated content by App Review. Such creator content may include video, articles, audio, and even casual games. The App Store supports apps offering such user-generated content so long as they follow all Guidelines, including Guideline 1.2 for moderating user-generated content and Guideline 3.1.1 for payments and in-app purchases. Creator apps should share the age rating of the highest age-rated creator content available in the app, and communicate to users which content requires additional purchases.

I've asked in previous threads for specific examples of what has changed since Elon took over, and I never get them provided.

why would Apple want to advertise on a social medium whose owner, among other stupid tweets, shares a photo of his bedside table with guns on it?
I agree. This is not what the child wants to see in the morning. Especially posting a picture with guns on it. It's a very sensitive matter.

Strangely contradictory position. Advertisers have no obligation to advertise on any platform. This also is a form of 'free speech'. Having your ads randomly turn up next to unsavoury speech on twitter is going to cause all advertisers to reconsider their ad spend. Also, what does 'mostly' mean? Sounds like Elon is engaging in mafia style behaviour. If you don't spend more on ads on his platform he will send his legions of Elon simp minions after you under the guise of 'free speech'.

Dude, the Taliban is on Twitter so spare me the guidelines.
