Now you have a reason to buy more Blanton's. :p Where'd you get the Taylors' from?

LOL I have 5 of the 8 including one on an unopened bottle. I may just buy the 3 bottles that I need if this guy has the right tops. Cypress Craft Beer and Liquor on Valley View. Guy has a ton of stuff at great prices. Wish it wasn’t so damn far for me. Would be there all the time getting the hard to find stuff.

I can never choose... Usually my most recent one will be what I say, which is the Laphroaig 18. Excellent dram.

Why is the Old Forester 1910 labeled Whisky and not Whiskey?? interested to know if there is a reason for this. Thanks:)

Ben

Sooooo, I had to google:

Here’s a quick way to remember how some of the world’s biggest producers spell their products:

  • Countries that have E’s in their names (UnitEd StatEs and IrEland) tend to spell it whiskEy (plural whiskeys)
  • Countries without E’s in their names (Canada, Scotland, and Japan) spell it whisky (plural whiskies)

Now Old Forester is an American whiskey so I don't know why the E is omitted. o_O

Yes - I understand the geographical spellings ..... I was just curious about the label with the 'wrong' spelling for American whiskey. Printers must be drinking scotch:D:D.

Drinking Old Fashions with Bullet 10 year. (I have a deep freeze stocked with them.) That’s pretty much my go-to bourbon and non-gin or vodka cocktail.

I seem to go through phases of wanting Old Fashions then Scotch (typically Glenmorangie 18)...then back to Old Fashions. I can see myself eventually only drinking Scotch 3-4 times a year and sticking mainly to Old Fashions.

I’ll never stop drinking gin & tonics, and Belvedere...especially in the warm months.
[doublepost=1554585554][/doublepost]Speaking of which....I’m off to the bar.

Got my chance to try Pappy for the first time in London last week. 20 Yr. old, had a double- neat.

It was outstanding, with a feeling going down like a brandy.
First time, hopefully not the last.

Can I ask what they charged you over there?

There are a few good ones within < £50

1) Port Charlotte – Anything they do is godly
2) Ledaig 10 – Solid whisky for the price point
3) Wolfburn Northland - A new distillery but traditional in methods.

40 UK for the 15 year, 55 for the 20 year. Cheaper than I had ever found traveling here in the US so I did not hesitate. Restaurant was Sketch.
are you talking pounds or euro? either way, that's relatively cheap. I pay US $180 for 20 and $230 for 23.
