Well, still waiting on my RAZR, but now they have the Pixel 4 on sale, 128gb for $20/month plus another $650 in credits for my trade in, so instead of paying Verizon $42/month for the RAZR, I would be getting $7/month back for getting the Pixel 4 instead.

While I did want to at least try out the RAZR for a few weeks before returning, I think I may jump on this Pixel 4 deal before it expires. Too bad Verizon isn’t getting the smaller s20, or I may have picked that up instead.

Ah shame. I was looking forward to hearing your thoughts. I'd love to see a RAZR so might try and hunt one down today but I'd never buy one.

I just want to see how it opens and closes versus the Flip as they are using very different hinges which I find quite intriguing.

Well, I think I may still try it out and then return it, still haven't cancelled the order, it's a new line anyway. Just couldn't justify spending the extra cash on a razr when they're paying me $260 to get the pixel 4 ($240 - $500 trade in credit).

BTW, pixel 4 very under rated phone, I have been pleasantly surprised.

Well, my shipping date has come and gone with no update and no phone. I almost want to simply cancel the order since I don't plan on keeping it now, I have moved on to an S20.

I was able to trade in my Pixel 4 for $600 off an unlocked S20. And unlike at&t, all features are working on Verizon.

Edit: just got the email, been delayed until April 14. I wonder if they're doing a revision with a quieter hinge and that's why it's been delayed so long (ordered Feb 19). I don't think it was a big seller...

Well, it's here! Unfortunately, with everything that has gone on since I ordered it (has it really been that long?) I definitely won't be keeping it, now matter how much I like it.

But I will be taking it through it's paces while I'm in my return window.

First impressions are good, it feels like it's the future of mobile phones. So far, everyone in my family thinks it's awesome. The "creaking noise" is much quieter and barely noticeable, they really made it out to be something it's not. Either that or my theory of Motorola making an adjustment to manufacturing and this is the reason for the delay was correct.

Making calls on it is really comfortable.

Downside is after coming from an S20, it's REALLY noticeable this is an older version of Android. Maybe they'll update it before I return it?

Ok, that's it for now, time to finish setting it up, only have my first page of apps done.

Yeah, me too. I wish the side bezels were smaller and the phone more narrow though. Because of the thickness and width, it really doesn't feel much smaller in the pocket, as I have deep pockets. I guess this makes more sense for women or whoever wears pants with shorter pockets.

apple's got ios13.X working yet?
either way its a lot of money
It's been working fine on my iPhone 11 Pro? I do notice a weird glitch on my iPad Pro where even though I have orientation lock on, it'll switch randomly in certain apps.

ios; each version works a little different
apple lost control of the code.

judging by the response on macRumors here, apple is concerned about flip phones
given that i bet flip phones can be made to work

Quick updates. Normal performance is surprisingly fine, though no where near as impressive as my S20 with 120hz display and faster storage. When I was installing all my apps though, I really couldn't do much else as the phone slowed to a crawl.

The screen is beautiful at 3/4 brightness or higher, but the color shifts to a washed out yellow hue when below that. Had to turn off adaptive brightness as it was bothering me too much when it would dim and the color would shift. Also, outside in the bright Florida sun the screen is nearly viewable, even at max brightness.

Really like the outside display, I wish it was always on though. Also saves the step of having to open the phone after every notification. Making calls on it are extremely comfortable and it's just a cool fun device to hold and use, even with it's shortcomings.

Neat feature if your on a call but have the phone closed, the touchpad numbers are shown on the outside display so you can navigate number prompts without having to open the phone.

Love that. Puts the Z Flip outside design to utter shame!

For anyone still rocking this device, Android 12 is finally out.

Really love the form factor and design, but my god is Moto terrible with software updates, my Fold and S22 have been on Android 13 now for a couple of months and just now got 12 on the Razr. It's a shame what Lenovo has done to the company, and the latest Razr just looks like a cheap knockoff of the Flip. I generally flip phones to get the latest model, but this Razr is joining my Pre Plus and Essential phone in the long term collection.

Ahhhhhh Palm.

I still get out my Pre every once in a while, and I power up the Pixi (it still works, my Pre is CDMA so it’s a paperweight).

I will never buy any Lenovo Android device. I used to love Moto phones and I had a tab p11 plus. Hardware is generally solid but the updates or lack of them is pretty pathetic. Part of owning a decent Android device is software support.

The P11 plus was the absolute worst Android experience I have ever had and really showed me what a difference software makes. That tablet was full of bugs from day one and the optimization was so bad that despite having a decent processor, fast ufs storage and 6gb ram it felt like I was using a Samsung Tab a7 or something. It got really slow updates which never fixed the original bugs.

I had a cheap Aldocube Chinese tablet that performed better and at least I knew going in that updates were not likely.

Lenovo has pretty much ruined Motorola as a brand. It really is a shame. Maybe they will get better at some point but for now....
