I think you just have to treat the battery as a consumable item. I had Apple replace the battery on my 6S and my X after they reached around 82% capacity. It took 2-3 years which I feel is acceptable.. I'm not a power user and could easily get 2 days of use before charging so if someone has to recharge more than once a day, I can understand why the battery capacity would suffer.. As iOS matures, I think battery performance will continue to suffer until new battery tech can be implemented to satify the need for more power

My launch day iPhone Pro 14 is now at 83%! I am really noticing it too.

It reminds me of the battery on the iPhone 6s...

So the problem is the "always on display". My son and I received a pro and pro max on launch day last year. I left the feature on while he disabled it based on comments of the YouTuber M. Brownlee. We looked a few weeks ago and his battery was at 92% while mine was at 86%. I traded mine in for an iPhone 15 Pro Max.

There are a bunch of little tweaks you can make to save battery life. Hopefully they work because all of this battery talk makes me want to get AppleCare lol.. this is the first time I have gone without it in 10 years.. feeling brave, but nervous lol..

Don’t feel sorry for me. I have AC+ so I am waiting for it to drop to below 80% to get it replaced under express replacement

Hopefully it doesn’t take a year for the rest of the 5% you have to go for.

And since my last update on the 20th November being on 91%, I’m already down to 89% now.

My iPhone 14 Pro was doing really well. Since September though, it's dropped from 100% to 95% battery health. Realistically, it's loss is 10% per year for me.

My launch day 14 PM has just dropped to 93%.

It stayed at 100% until I’d almost had the phone a year, then by the end of September it was 97%, and is now dropping at a slightly alarming rate.

My 12 PM and XS Max were still at 98 / 99% when they were traded in after two years. I don’t use this phone any differently, wired charging overnight once a day.

I really want to just wait until the 16 comes out but I’m starting to notice the battery life now ☹️

From 30th November till today 12th December I’m down to 88% now. This battery health is dropping like a fly.

Now I wish it hits 80% in the first couple of months of the new year and I get a free battery replacement!

Mine is at 86% launch day. Still lasting a day with heavy use. Getting a 16 for sure next year.

Just dropped again to 92%, this is absurd.

My 14 Pro (not Max) was the first iPhone that I had where I had any sort of noticeable battery health degradation (I was at 89% after a year, and previous phones I’ve had for that length of time were normally 98-99%). I did notice the battery would drain quite a bit if I used it a lot in the morning. Switched to a 15 Plus so that won’t be a problem anymore…!
