Same here - I have an Apple midnight blue leather case and a clear case from Amazon. Always liked darker colors. But now I may buy an Apple Saddle brown to my mix and see how it ages.

How are you guys avoiding pockmarks/mini dings/impressions. My saddle brown is covered in them.

Avoid them? You do know what the point is of using a case? You use it to protect your phone from... [insert drumroll] pockmarks, mini dings, impressions. So yeah, no wonder the case has these marks. So does mine. If you don't want that, you better could have bought a hard case. Leather is a fairly soft material of course.

Don't be rude, there's nothing wrong with trying to keep your case in a good condition.
The appropriate advice here, however, is that leather cases aren't the best cases when it comes to longevity due to its material - at least if you wish to maintain the original appearance of the case.

Avoid carrying an iPhone in a leather case in a pocket alongside keys and loose change - leather is very soft.
