It's just water or water with soap
That should just whip away if you rubbed it, kind of like buffing it out...

My SB started to get scratched marks everywhere ?
Scratch marks are just added “character” but just try rubbing them with your thumb, some of the lighter scratches should just “buff” right out...

Apple saddle brown used daily since 10/10. My new mous contour case came in the mail today. I’ll try it for a couple of days.

Edit: Immediately after swapping cases I noticed a huge gap at end bottom of the phone and where the charging port is located. The material is very loose and flopping around when barely touched. I swapped the apple case back onto my phone and the mous case will be returned.

Seems to be a pretty common complaint with the Mous case.

What the stain from, i have had liquids drip on my brown case. I just rub them with my dry thumb, same for scuffs and after a few minutes they kind of just disappear...
If that makes any sense.

Photoshop works as well!!! ??
Stains like that tend to be pretty permanent

Right is worth a try though,
I’ve had a small stain on mine before from cherry juice, and that buffet out with my thumb (my thumb is rough though), other tougher stains I’ve removed with lexol ph leather cleaner.

but even if not the stains or scratches all give the leather more character...

Agreed but that's what we love about our cases... the oops and the imperfections

Perhaps my thumbs ain’t that tough. Scratches won’t go away. But hey, it adds up to the leather’s character. So, I’m good (;

Anyone else have a case that just refuses to break in. My midnight blue leather broke in after a few days and feels awesome. Wife got me a forest green three weeks ago and it’s still as slippery as day one.

Some colors vary. I had my forest green since launch and feels slippery still. But it is starting to patina slowly, I'm really liking it.

Yes! This has been my experience with my forest green as well. I’ve had it since launch and it just won’t break in. I also have a silicone case and sometimes it’s tempting to switch to that just for the extra grip.

Does anyone that’s tried to speed up patina by sanding the case down and applying oil have any tips on how to make the case feel less dry? Mine looks nice but it’s lacking that almost sticky feeling.

Charcoal Gray on my iPhone X, leather on this one is very good.
I'll probably skip 11 Pro because I don't really like how case fit around cameras.

Midnight blue after about 5 weeks. I have since received a Sena case, which I think will be my go-to. The Sena leather feels so much better. Very soft. With a couple cards, the phone has a rounded back feel in the hand, which I find fantastic!

Stopped by Best Buy today and the apple leather cases are still on sale at $34.99. The Best Buy closest to me had the yellow, Forrest green, saddle brown, black and the black folio case for $70.99 for both the 11 pro and 11 pro max. The yellow looks amazing in person as well as the folio case. It took every ounce of self discipline to not buy a new case. So far my SB is starting to patina and I want to keep it going.

always hated the way my red one turned out on my iPhone 6 but loved my how my saddle brown aged over 2yrs. here it is next to my saddle brown for my iPhone X a couple of weeks ago.

and my saddle brown case now..

..and two years later I'm putting on a new saddle brown leather case. for the last 8 months or so I've had the gray one on and the saddle brown wore down pretty quickly. I can't wait for this one to start to patina.

Here’s my xs max saddle brown case after 7 months of daily usage. It shocks me sometimes how dark it has become compared to when it was new. It is quite “grippy” now and I absolutely love it! Another thing that shocks me is just how many people actually pay attention to patina on phone cases. I’ve gotten quite a few compliments on it. So cool. ?
