I want to love the 7 Pro but I just can't get over that curved screen. I tried one in a T-Mobile store and I just found that so annoying, as I do with every other phone with a curved screen. They really should've just stuck with a flat screen. I don't see what benefit it adds.

It'll make it more interesting but unless they really spent time revamping cameras, then I don't think I can consider it. Everything else is great but I need something at least in the same ballpark as Pixel devices and right now the 7 pro ain't it.

The article wasn't sure if it's just the regular OP 7 getting the T and maybe 7 Pro no new phone .

Pixel is in a league of their own, so if you're that adamant about camera quality you don't really have an option but a Pixel.

This.

That being said the OP7 camera has improved significantly with updates and closer to the iPhones of quality but nowhere near Pixel.

Auto / adaptive brightness is still not good for me even with the latest update. It still sometimes goes nuts if I'm not moving and lighting doesn't change. Baffles me as to why this is so hard to get right in 2019. It's a basic phone function and there's no excuse. This was the most annoying thing about the OG Pixel through the 3XL. Oddly enough the 3a is perfect, so maybe Google finally fixed it and the Pixel 4 will be good.

I'm a OP7 Pro fanboy, but it will be replaced by a Pixel 4 or iPhone in a couple months. Verizon call filter app doesn't work with the 7 Pro, which I really like on the Pixel, on top of the baked in call screening.

The stock pro 7 camera is pretty lackluster in my opinion, as I've been using Pixels lately. But, GCam made a world of difference!

Is it hard to install gcam? Or is it a simple .apk file you just install and that's ut?

I think for some apk's now, that's all you have to do. I watched a video and followed those instructions first, I moved the xml file as instructed in the video. Not sure if you even need that now. Here's the link to the all the various apk's, I'm using the most recent and it's very stable. The legend at the bottom says the bold and red ones are recommended. (so after following the video below, I deleted that apk from the video and installed the one from the link below)

Here's a link to the video I watched and followed.

On some pics, you'll have to boost the contrast after taking them. There's a good thread on the xda forums.

Just read the leaked specs for the 7t Pro, and man, talk about MINIMAL upgrades, and every so slight improvements. Why do OnePlus even do this? Once a year is enough for smartphone releases, not every 6 months.

Wonder if they'll be deals for the current 7 Pro then?

Yeah it seems pretty crazy. Would love to know their reason for that.

If they would have made a flat screen version of it however...that would've made my fall phone purchase decision very very tricky indeed.

It doesn't make much sense to do the T version this year, unless there are also some deals with these new phones such as carriers in the USA and other countries...

maybe they'll bring the regular 7T to T-Mobile? since the regular 7 wasn't sold in the USA... that may be worth the release to them. get 6T users to upgrade without having to get the very large OP7T pro
