Unsure if I should keep the focus on the eye or rather on the tongue/water.
Or probably just using a higher f-stop. What do you think? F2.8, 1/400 and ISO 800 on an apsc were used.
Personally, cropped like this, I'd do eye, especially if it was wider open. But i might have considered cropping this shot tightly and focusing on the tongue instead .

I was lucky (or my wife) to notice that our cat was on the move to drink 😅

Got two other acceptable pictures with a tighter frame and focus on the water. But had not the time to try out some additional lights in order to reduce the ISO.
I love that you went back to reshoot after asking for feedback! The first one here is my favorite. 🙂

WATER is all around us, however capturing it proved to be surprisingly difficult. I went for a few different approaches this week. Reflexion, Contrast, Lines, as well as a creative solution (trying to evoke the idea of water through its absence). Couldn’t decide which one to share, so I post 4 photos this week.

Reflexion – this is also my main entry for this week

I was quite fascinated by all the abstract lines on can find in ice and snow…

… as well as contrasts between light and dark.

This is more of a creative way of portraying water, similar to what others have also done this week.

oh fantastic! I also love the first one, but the last one is great too with the bokeh reflection.
