Pretty happy with this phone so far! Definitely going to do my best to ignore the 14 <cough>. lol.
Very normal. It’s how Apple reports 100%. Often it’s not actually 100%. Completely normal. It’s been doing this since the 6+ days. .
Depends on the charger you're using but - like you I've seen my phone sit at 98% for an HOUR while connected to a high end charger. Apple seems to be doing more and more on the back end to keep the battery from sitting at true 100%. (Phone shows 100% but coconutBattery shows 98%) I assume unchecking optimized charging will help it hit true 100% quicker but I always leave that on.Ha ok. So it's normal that i may never hit 100% on coconut ? Even if i let it charge for hours ?
It's still at 98. something....
Do you have optimized battery charging turned on?Ha ok. So it's normal that i may never hit 100% on coconut ? Even if i let it charge for hours ?

iOS 15.5....to update or not to update.
Updating may drop my % health a bit...or a lot! No change...or boost it slightly.
Always a gamble. ??♂️

Do you have optimized battery charging turned on?
That's interesting - battery optimization on has been awful for me - battery starts dropping from 100% nearly instantly.Usually yes but i made a test with the optimization off and it was the same.
No offense but what you're saying doesn't make sense. Battery optimization only controls when it reaches 100%. If your battery says it's at 100% it is at 100%. iOS battery calibration isn't affected by the Optimization feature. And if you need to calibrate the battery just drain it down to 0 till it shuts off and charge it backup to 100 and leave it untouched for another half hour or so to let it trickle charge. That's interesting - battery optimization on has been awful for me - battery starts dropping from 100% nearly instantly.
With it off, i can chill at 100% for 1-2 hours from pulling off (wireless) charger in the morning, depending on phone (11 Pro vs. 13 Pro).
After updating to 15.5. So far, so good. ??
Even though I've had a few erratic % numbers since late Sept., it still shows in 100-upper 102 range. Battery is still darn good, no horrible drain during the day.
And still so, SO much better than this time last year with a 6 month old 12 Pro Max, sitting at 87-86% battery health and it was still dropping. That battery on the 12 / 12 Pro's was pure trash for myself and others.

I do see day-by-day changes for no particular reason, as well.I spoke too soon. ???♂️ These updates are so erratic on my battery.
i think there is an older version - there are two forksCan I use this program on a old mac ?
Yeah...since 15.5 and especially 15.6, the battery has taken a big hit. (Battery health on the iPhone now shows "94%") 😒

I know heat degrades the battery and it has been one brutally hot summer...but I've actually had minimal iPhone exposure to the heat outside. Ah well 🤷🏻♂️
Not seeing horrific drain however.

Believing and actually knowing are two different things.I believe I know the reason.
Could you tell any change in battery life in August when it did the drop?Jan 4, 2023
Battery Health on iPhone 13 Pro Max shows 90%
(Been showing "90%" since late Nov. - It went from 91% to 90% in 17 days. No idea is 16.2 "improved" this from degrading faster...beats me.)
Anyway, I stopped checking this obsessively.
...136 Charge Cycles

Back over the Summer it felt perfectly fine, no horrible drain even though the health in Coconut shows erratic % from mid to low 90s.Could you tell any change in battery life in August when it did the drop?
