I don't think apple even offers a trade in from them. I was looking to move the ceramic when S4 came out. The fetch was around $400 to 500. that is some serious depreciation

Maybe they wanted to refine it. The Series 3 Ceramic Apple Watch had a huge gap between the case and the screen because they couldn't make it thinner. The gap has been reduced by like 95% on the Series 5 Ceramic.

Last year no way I would have considered it.
maybe Apple knows ceramic owners take a clobbering in depreciation and gave us a break on the punishment.

but actually I think it was planned.
Initial release - gold
S2 -ceramic
S3 -ceramic
S4 - body change no ceramic
S5 -ceramic

my issue is so I wait for series 6 or upgrade to the ceramic then next year ti?

I get a chunk taken off the price this year so I may do the ceramic.

How good is the scratch resistance and hardness on the ceramic? I’ve ordered a titanium and have yet to receive it but I’m almost considering returning it and then picking up the ceramic.

I will share my watch with the Yellow Meyer loop when my damn watch arrives lol. No movement from 14th-21st October. Although I ordered 6 days ago, order dates have only slipped 3 days since i placed my order.

It was fantastic on my S3 Ceramic. The watch and screen were mint when i sold it on. Not a mark on it.

If you look in the S3 ceramic thread I have posted a few.
The only bands I do not like with it, Oddly enough is the light grays and white.
Bands with silver lugs look lousy too

Oh that's disappointing. Hopefully the Edition gets more exclusives in future versions of watchOS 6. The Hermès and Nike models get exclusive watch faces and color options, so I was hoping the Edition would too

ZIIRG what is your wrist circumference? I have small hand and wrist , I believe it was 6.5" circumference when I checked, do you all think this watch face is too big? I tried the 40mm as well and it looks small . I wish they had a 42mm, but this is the 44mm on my wrist. thoughts anyone? thanks in advance.

You have an athletic forearm, so it looks good. If you had skinny forearm to go with slim wrists maybe not so much.

I am surprised how few Ceramic unboxing videos there are on YouTube for series 5... there’s like 4-5 total! My card has now been charged, but still preparing to ship and nothing on UPS track by reference. Oct 2-3 can’t come soon enough.

its definitely true what your girlfriend said.
its also true that its clear she doesn't understand (see) and therefore is not able to appreciate (value) differences in various materials. its lost on her.
therefore to her it looks like cheap white plastic.
id go with what her advice is telling you.

this material, price, and colour need to be owned by the wearer.
if you can't own it and pull it off, then it will look like the watch is wearing you.

I am torn which band to get.
not a fan of the two tone sport loop and the sport bands, well I have variations of all those colors.
Milanese are nice but pull on my hair.

All the scratching seems to be on the silver titanium not the black titanium. The ceramic is a $500 premium over titanium and $600 over SS. It is beautiful but I feel overpriced. And it does lack versatility vs the SS and Titanium in a more professional setting.

Disagree with the lacy of versatility.
i have several after market leather bands with black lugs they look sharp.
match The band to the shirt and the watch pops
