Just a quick update for anyone buying from extreme skins, I removed mine to replace with another one... no residue or lifting of the MGK material at all, granted it was only on for aabout 5 days, just wanted to see if it would damage it in any way.

I didn’t use a hair dryer to apply apart from the Apple logo to help It look more pronounced. Obviously I can’t guarantee damage in the long term, but cant see it sticking any further months down the line.

My custom order came in for my 11" Magic Keyboard. These are my boys, Witten and Zeke!

Since I couldn't find skins specifically for the AMK, I used textured contact paper because I was seeing smudges and it was driving me crazy. It's not perfect, but so far, no rolled edges or lifting.
This may surprise you but here it is a year+ later, and today I used your suggestion about contact paper as a temporary solution while awaiting a Decal Girl skin for a new SKF (for iPad Air 4). It was a great and very economical suggestion, thank you! I got some clear stuff locally, and did a quick and sloppy job of putting it on, but at least it will hold and keep it clean until the skin arrives. It looks only slightly better than having wrapped it in cling film, but better than nothing. 😆

Just got my Dbrand skin in today.

My DBrand arrived today... If you’ve ever installed DBrand skins on a MacBook or iPad, the process is pretty much the same and took about 10 minutes to get it pretty much perfect.

I am a fan of DBrand skins and have been waiting/hoping for one since I got the MK. This is exactly what I wanted and expected. Their skins have a thickness to them that feels like it will provide protection for my devices. The fit is perfect and it’s nice to have my iPad and MacBook Pro skinned the same.

the only installation difference was that a hairdryer was required for about 10 sec to heat the area about the Apple indentation. Once warm, you just press and the logo appears in the skin, pretty cool.
Your honeycomb / swarm skins look awesome. It’s really annoying that Dbrand doesn’t make the interior stickers for the Magic Keyboard. Wouldn’t mind ordering from them but the lack of the palm rest stickers makes them a no-go for me ☹️

Same. I think there are a few similar threads talking about iPad and MK skins and someone bumped this up from pages back.

Here’s mine - Swarm skin on the iPad and white marble on the white MK. View attachment 1787105 View attachment 1787106

Considering getting a skin for my Magic Keyboard as it’s been over a year how and I need a change. This may be a silly question but for patterns like the honeycomb, is that an actual pattern you can feel or is the skin actually smooth to the touch?

I got one from Xtremeskins! Really easy to apply and good quality. I didn’t like the ones for the inside part around the keys as that was too obvious, but the other parts are great.

I purchased this one from Extremeskins about 12 months ago and you can see a part of it peeling off around the camera after i caught it on something And would say user error rather than the product.Apart from that has been really good.Easy to fit & good quality.
I did buy one for my Magic Mouse and that was a disaster so the skin ended up in the bin after a few days
