Do you have any pictures of the adapter? Was it difficult to install?

It came installed, so I just had to take it out of the box. I will see if I can get any pictures to upload.

How is the quality of the adapters? Can the band they give you be removed?

I placed the order April 29th. Once shipped it said it would arrive 5/11, so I was a bit surprised to get it today.
Heck, I still don't have the screen protector and stand I ordered on 4/13.

Honestly I have no clue LOL. But I just noticed that there is a teeny weeny screwdriver under the tray it's sitting in. Didn't notice that before now.
The quality is not nearly as nice, its not shiny silver like the one on my Apple band, it's a matte finish mostly. I am hoping it's actually SS, as most of the packaging is in a different language, and it doesn't specify any details.

And looking again, I see the screws at the top of the adapter, so I would assume you can take it apart?

Thanks a bunch for the responses. I suppose I might take a flyer on one.

Finally got the (cheap) band with adapter from Amazon.

Now I can use any band that I wish. Very cool.

Ordered some 22 mm rubber bands to try.

The adapter is so easy to work with. One of the kits even came with extra screws. Good thing, as they are tiny and I lost one.

Who exactly do I sue when one of these 3rd party connectors comes undone and my watch falls to the ground and shatters?

This amazon adapter isn't moving. its in there very tight. inspecting this more, it looks pretty obvious that someone in china got apple's specs on this. everything is identical to the black spots on the adapter.

If you are getting a nice leather band and want to take it to the next level, definitely look into getting a deployment clasp.

Having owned some nice watches over the years, it's tough finding a good aftermarket deployment clasp (I'm looking at you alibaba). A lot of watch guys out there like RHD deployment clasps, they are really affordable and also very high quality. Bob Davis is also awesome to work with.

Altogether, a really nice Hirsch, Di-Modell or Fluco calf or alligator band AND a deployment clasp will cost you ALOT less than the $150 classic buckle, and you'll literally be wearing some of the best quality leather out there in terms of watch straps. For around $100 you could have a super high quality leather band (think really high end watches like Panerai or Breitling) and a solid deployment clasp.

RHD Deployment Clasps: http://www.mywatchmaker.net/deployantclasp.htm

Some bands I trying to decide between:

http://www.holbensfinewatchbands.com/hirsch-terra-brown/ (little worried about the 5mm at the lug)
http://www.holbensfinewatchbands.com/fluco-horween-shell-cordovan-brown/

I'm waiting for my Di-Modell and two Hadley Romas. I'm also considering buying deployment systems. These three bands will be for everyday use as they are all water resistance.

I'm thinking about acquiring this guy: http://www.holbensfinewatchbands.com/hirsch-lord-alligator-grain-deployment-gold-brown/

But can't make my mind if the Apple Watch will look good with that type of texture.

I have one more thing to report on the leather band w/adapter that I got from Amazon. I finally used it last night and this morning to work out. It's wayyyyyyyyyy to big for me. The holes do not go small enough. Even with it on the smallest hole it was way big. I had to use the little sock that I had been using to keep the sweat off of my good band, rolled up under the buckle to get it tight enough so the heart rate monitor would work.

----------

OK, so you took the leather off of here and used a different band?
How does your adapter slide in? I ordered the other brand, and mine is a bit tougher than the actual Apple one, to slide in. It goes in fine, but just seems to fit a little tighter on the way in.

I'm all about this.....

http://epikwatch.com/

So Lunatik has adapted their marginally ok iPod Nano case for the Apple Watch to give it a super bulky 'rugged' design. And their stock and trade seam down the middle is just two casing halves put together.

What I don't get is why Scott Wilson and crew over at Lunatik with all the success they've had continues to need to crowd fund when they have a successful manufacturing operation, they know all the things required for R&D, tooling, and production. At this point they should be developing and launching products, and not using other people's money as a "we'll see how many people want this" startup fund.

I ordered one of those sport bands before it went "no longer available." Wonder if I ever see it?

It's available under another name. I looked because I wanted the red too, but all I found was this with the same photo you posted which raised all red flags for me:
"New arrivel Silicone Bracelets for iwatch,Silicone bands for watch sport Free shipping"
I wont post a direct link because I wont promote a potential scammer so if you order this, is at your own risk. Unless you can confirm It is indeed the post with the same name as your previous purchase I'll definitely buy one of these because I too would like the unicorn red band. :p
