Ordered a maxed out 2020 MB Air this morning, already showed an April 3rd-10th delivery date. Excited, going to be a massive upgrade over my 2014 13" MB Pro

Have just ordered an i5 with 16GB RAM and the base storage. Was waiting for the new MBP, but I'm loving the price and specs of the new Air... And no TouchBar!

I've ordered the i5 with 16Gb and 1Tb SSD. Estimated delivery 6-15 April :(

Wanted a light weight laptop for when I'm travelling and editing my holiday photos and videos. Love the small form factor, it fits easily into the hotels safe :) Other than that it's only used for light use word /excel, safari and email.

Looks like if you get the base i5 it's 2-4 business days but bump it up to 16gb ram and it's 1-2 weeks.

While my 11 inch MBA from 2013 with SSD upgrade and 8GB of memory is still working well for everyday tasks like mail and web surfing, I had been looking for an upgrade path since it was likely going to go out of support for the next version of MacOS.

Space Gray MBA 2020 i7 with 16GB of memory and 1TB storage just ordered.

I hope this lasts as long as the last one .. which is now living a second life as a very over spec'd music server (I just could not find it in me to trade it in for peanuts.. it still works too well).

I suspect this is because getting it manufactured and out of China given COVID-19 is a bit more challenging these days. The factories and shipping just isn't running anywhere near 100% yet.

Ordered fully specced i7, 16Gb RAM and 1TB SSD. Early April delivery.

Excited about this laptop - looks to be the best blend of power and portability that Apple has offered.. maybe ever.

I am planning to 16GB / 1RB... I am still debating between the i5 & the i7... thoughts?

i7 is an extra $150 over i5, and should add about 7%-10% performance boost. I keep my laptops for ~3 years, so it ends up just an extra $2/month (less than a proverbial cup of coffee). And it's not something I can just add later on.

So it's money well spent to me - YMMV.

That was my thinking too; thanks for confirming my logic. My last three Macs (2005 Black MacBook; 2010 MacBook Air; 2015 MacBook) have each lasted me five years, so maxing it out makes sense.

Being in the house all the time at the moment is making me shop! My 2017 MBP is getting docked in my new home office, and I'm going to use the 2020 MBA on the go. The keyboard on the MBP is dire, and I'm not a huge fan of the touchbar. I've got a decent bluetooth keyboard for working at home.

Ordered i5, 16GB, 256 MBA in Gold. Estimated shipping 9th April onwards.

anyone else getting a loaded MBA instead of MBP 16" I get the two are totally different, but the 16" weight is significant... for everyday use, bed, living room, etc...curious to see how others feel?

Yes, this is going to be my primary use - I use a 13" MBP around the house now and take it on the go, but I used to have an 11" MBA and much preferred that form factor. 13" isn't too bulky, though.
