Apps BBC iPlayer supporting 4K HDR for World Cup on the 2022 Apple TV?

Now the 2022 Apple TV supports HLG, the Apple TV should be capable of showing their 4k HDR feeds - can anyone with a 2022 Apple TV confirm this? Have the BBC updated their app to show it - would be nice to not have to use my TV's built in iPlayer app.

Apple Music - unable to browse curator playlists

i used to listen to 3rd party curator playlists such as from the BBC, Pitchfork and NME on Apple Music but can no longer find a way to browse these playlists. Has something changed? If I search the curator I can find them so the playlists are still available but the ability to browse as before...

BBC radio capable radio app on the series 4

I'm in the market for a BBC radio capable radio app on the series 4. In the UK, the only non-apple stations we can get on the apple radio app are LBC, bloomberg and something called PRI. Radioplayer has an apple watch companion app for its iOS app, which is pretty good but needs an iPhone. It...

Issues with a radio player using Google Chrome on Mac OsX

Hi all, I use three different Macs, one at home and two at work. One of the ones at work and the one at home seem to be having an issue with the BBC iPlayer radio website. It loads the website, but won't allow the station to be played. They don't have the same OS and this has only become an...

So far outstanding, the story of an ex-patriot Russian Family living in the UK, a son who tries to live a honest life as a fund manager, but get’s drawn into gangsta business by his Uncle. In light of current affairs is this unfair to Russians? ;) Yes, I want to...

BBC Store closing: all content lost?

I just got an email from the "BBC Store" saying they are closing on 1 Nov 2017, and "any programmes you own will still be available to watch until then...". Another DRM disaster, as presumably anything anyone bought on their store is going to be completely unplayable after November, thus money...

Good news for UK Apple TV users? (iPlayer Universal search)

My first post, so please be nice. This is not a link to a news report, I've had to deduce this after a few hours of playing and researching. (If you can dissect and disprove my deductions please be nice-ish about that too!) Basically, I think that Universal Search (or Siri Search if you prefer)...

Running iMac screen at 50Hz - Is it safe?

Hello there, I'm trying to get smooth playback of 25/50fps BBC iPlayer content on my 27'' iMac, currently used as the main 'TV' in the house (I live in the U.K.). I used a program called SwitchResX to define a profile of 2560 x 1440 @ 50Hz and set Kodi to change refresh rates to match content...
