Mines not yellow, pristine white. I think you got a faulty one.
I wish I got a faulty ONE... It was more like 4 faulty ones. Gave up after the 4th.

17% + 70% + 20% + 25% + 23% = iPad Air really confuses me.
does this mean that the display can turn off individual pixels?
i thought IGZO turns off any pixels that are 100% black to improve contrast, but haven't seen there anywhere in reports mentioning the iPA?
Wouldn't Apple have announced this if it were the case?
Something seems strange here.....
Are you saying this because you think Apple invented IGZO? Do you also think Apple is the first to release a product utilizing IGZO?
I hope this doesn't mean the next iPhone will be as thin as a credit card with a significantly smaller battery (but with the same battery life it has now).
5S sized battery + IGZO display = leaving my charger at home.
/me imagines the thinness and battery life of the iPhone 6 using an IGZO display.
Just noticed the same thing, it has to be the touch sensor, no way that takes up 70% of the thickness, with all the others it leaves just 15% for the touch sensor which seems more reasonable.

That'd be amazing. I'd prefer 14" though. Could fit in the frame of the current 13" MacBook Air.Picture this: 12" Macbook Air with Retina IGZO display in 2014. 12 hours battery life.
Now if they could just make their screens uniformly white, without yellow blotches, dirty tinges or dark shadows at the edges, they'd have a winner.
Seriously, WTF happened to Apple quality control? I've been through 3 ipads (ipad 3, 4, and air) that have all had screen problems.

The Fire HDX 8.9" is actually closer in display size to the Retina iPad Mini:The real news here seems to be the quality of the display in the new Kindle.
It's amazing to see something with 30% more resolution, better color accuracy, and less reflectivity, at a much lower price.
The Fire HDX 8.9" is actually closer in display size to the Retina iPad Mini:

And the price is almost the same as the Retina Mini. $394 without the Special Offers discount. The memory upgrades are much more reasonably priced at $50 for each doubling, though.
The graphic describes how much each component has been shrunk in terms of its own thickness, not what proportion of the total thickness that component comprises. That's why the total is not 100%.Just noticed the same thing, it has to be the touch sensor, no way that takes up 70% of the thickness, with all the others it leaves just 15% for the touch sensor which seems more reasonable.
