Hey Broboore, what country are you in? I'd love the two shuffles but don't know how I feel about shipping them halfway across the world :p

Hey man. I'm in the US
[doublepost=1510613247][/doublepost]
Work in progress. For the avoidance of doubt, I only collect major design iterations, sealed. In that respect, the iPod shuffle, iPod nano, and iPod touch collections are complete. What I'm missing is as follows:

1. 1st generation iPod classic
2. 2nd generation iPod classic (because there was a hardware change - the wheel)
3. 4th generation iPod classic (because of the color screen)

If anyone can help me out in this regard, that'll be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I have a 2nd generation 20GB available.

Hey there. Long time no see. Due to some unforeseen circumstances I will be letting go of a number of vintage iPods. I currently have them on Ebay but would be more than happy to work with someone here. These are the ones that I have in the box, but I have some loose ones as well that I haven't listed yet. I’m interested, still relevant?

I didn't get my first iPod (or really care about music) until 2009 with the 3rd gen. touch, so I unfortunately didn't have the opportunity to build a collection when classic iPods were current. Since then, I've amassed a few for various reasons and have been enjoying the sonic differences between them. I actually use the 5.5 gen. daily for music listening as it sounds the best, and the 5th gen. touch for more portable listening when quality isn't as important. The monochrome 4th gen. will always be my favorite, though. Such a simple, beautiful device! In the future, I plan to (hopefully) get a 3rd gen., 4th gen. color, and mini off eBay. I also made sure to have enough socks for any new additions, hah.

Update: added 4th gen. monochrome thin (128GB microSD card upgrade)
Update 2: added touch 1st gen. 32GB (iOS 3.1.3)
- 4th gen. monochrome 40GB
- 5th gen. 30GB (broken HDD) white
- 5th gen. enhanced 80GB white
- nano 6th gen. 16GB graphite
- touch 1st gen. 8GB (iOS 1.1.5)
- touch 1st gen. 8GB (iOS 3.1.3)
- touch 3rd gen. 64GB (iOS 4.1)
- touch 5th gen. 64GB (iOS 6.1.3) black and slate

I fully appreciate it's 2018 - but why has this thread gone so horribly dead? Isn't anyone out there collecting iPods anymore?

There should be two touches... and two =2G shuffles with different shades of red...

Correct - but this still incorporates all major designs! :)

I was looking at your pic in earlier in this thread - why did the 2G shuffles have two shades? In the process of acquiring a red 5th generation iPod touch, the one in the picture is a 6th generation!

Hi, with a collection that's growing; I've run into the problem of how to display them all. At first I was only collecting iPod classics and iPhones so just put them into those transparent phone cradles (from a store display) you might have seen in my first couple of pictures. Then I started to also buy all the other types of iPods and they're just too... big. I bought a literal lot of old universal docks off eBay and put a bunch of them in those, but it's also rather unwieldy. This post is a double one:

A) how do you guys display your collection? I've seen a bunch of pictures that are mostly all iPods put next to each other in a way to take a photo; but how do you display them in your home?
B) I've made a cheap stand for iPod Nano's that can be printed with any (cheap) 3D printer. You can see the result in the picture that I've included (front row) If you're interested in the .obj file, let me know! 9Fb+no94Q9SB3ZmlQrBT+A.jpg
