Is this ebay seller too good to be true? Stainless link bands, OEM apple bands

There’s a seller on Taobao, you’ll find details in the last few pages of the great 3rd party band thread. As well as Hermes clones of high quality he also sells genuine link bands too. I got my stainless silver link from him earlier this week for $80 shipped to UK and it’s pristine.

Has anyone here ordered the SB Milanese loop from this seller (chargerstore) ? It's showing as only $39.85 so i was curious as to whether or not it's a genuine product, etc. I just purchased the Milanese loop from my local Apple store yesterday. But if anyone has purchased this via this seller can provide any input, that would be greatly appreciated.

Today I got the first gen Classic buckle.
I dont think it is genuine.
In the band holes I see a sticky black tar like stuff which sticks to the SS Pin of the Band.

Did you find out if yours was genuine? Mine has the same thing (from the same seller)

Finally got my black classic buckle today. Looks good and so far no tar looking stuff on the pin. Although I've only been wearing it a couple hours. I'm hoping I dodged that problem since a few have mentioned it recently. Time will tell.

After my original 1:1 clone bit the dust after three years of service I was in the market for a new clone. I ordered another 1:1 from eBay and it was horrendous. Decided to just bite the bullet and order a genuine from Apple.

Had it for a few days but the price just wasn’t sitting well with me (even after the recent reduction). I came across this thread and decided I’d take a risk and give it a shot. I purchased a “new” band and hoped for the best.

Well, it arrived today and I must say, I’m pretty sure this band is genuine or it’s the best fake I’d ever seen. It was a “new” flawless band as described. Did a few comparisons before I returned Apple's band.

It’s the exact same length (my other clones were not) as the genuine Apple band, the exact same finish, has the same all the same markings, has the same flexibility in the links and is the exact same weight. The links also came apart very easily, like the genuine from Apple. On some clones I’ve had in the passed I had to wrestle with the links sometimes to get them on or off.

I’m very pleased with the purchase and am happy to have the cash back in my pocket. Even if it turns out to be a clone, I’m still happy.

I’ve attached some pics comparing the the two. Sorry not the greatest photographer and was limited on time. The one purchased from Apple is on the right or the top. The one purchased from chargerstore is on the left or bottom.

The only thing that has me questioning the authenticity of the chargerstore band is the “assembled in China” markings were on opposite lugs.

So I’d recommend this seller, at least for a link band.

Saturday, Dec 22, 2018 4:23 PM: Import customs clearance completed

In other words - my shipment sat in customs untouched for almost 2 weeks. I expect to receive it sometime next week.

Picked up the OEM 42/44mm leather buckle band and very pleased with the product. Looks just like the one I saw at the Apple store a few months ago. Very happy and may pick up the stainless link band next.

Space Black Link Bracelet (from chargerstore) came today!

I'll get some pics in daylight, but this thing appears to be pristine!

I hadn't had an original Apple one before, so I can't compare, but it's beautiful.

As mentioned, buying/having something shipped from China around the holidays may not be the best timing, but it really wasn't too bad. 2 weeks and 2 days.

Ordered the silver about two days ago thanks to this thread. On the one hand original link for way cheaper. On the other the most expensive band I have bought to date. $50 for an original from Apple was my previous record. Looking forward to it though.
