@JarScott in a few hours there'll be release, we should expect the full installer to be promoted at the front page of App Store.

In the meantime: if you're enrolled for the public beta, you might still find (in the private area for public beta testers) direction on how to download a pre-release full installer. Whether it will be worth it for a few hours: you can decide.

The GM candidates, which is what's being offered now, are separate installer downloads, so you'd need to have gone to the public beta page to get a new redemption code for the GM candidate installer.

That is because the golden masters were only released as full installers, not updates.

Thanks for your help, all! I'll wait for the public release tomorrow and do my annual fresh install.

I have a Late 2013 15" rMBP that worked fine with El Capitan.

I upgraded to Sierra after GM build 322, then 323.

I have, IMHO, a major bug - when using Safari for 3 ou 4 times now the system crashes, screen goes black, and it logs out from my account, so I have to log in again.

I never had this sort of sudden crash behaviour on my rMBP, this is a very serious situation.

Yes, it's beta software, but it's a release candidate, and I guess 323 will be released today as a full finished and polished OS.

Anyone has seen this? Any ideas?

my safari on sierra is stuck, and in ios 9 safari also has weird times getting stuck after I installed sierra. Right now using chrome to write because the dumb safari is not working, my guess is loading a bunch of bookmarks or something for the new handoff features but its ridiculous.
EDIT: its getting better, lets see if it gets stuck again...

Not enjoying Sierra so far. I'm really tempted to roll back to El Capitan, which was pretty rock solid at this point.

1) As soon as the upgrade finished, I invoked Siri as a test and caused a kernel panic in what must have been record time

2) Siri in general is pretty useless. Voice commands like "Play The Sweater Song by Weezer" will result in a random song by an artist like Usher to play which has *none* of the keywords in either the artist, title, or album name. My mic is fine and the phrase I am dictating is shown correctly.

3) Animations as a whole seem really unsmooth now. Invoking Mission Control and maximizing a window to full screen transition in a very erratic, choppy way. This is true either with the built in nVidia graphics or using nVidia's latest web driver for my GeForce GTX 780M.

4) Hooray. A bug from the days of Yosemite has returned. Graphical UI elements in Dark Mode are nice and jagged again. I'm so glad they brought this feature back after fixing it in El Capitan. /s See attached photo which shows how horrible stacks look now. it's particularly noticeable around the hover background selector. (File names were intentionally blurred out.)
[doublepost=1474423416][/doublepost]UPDATE: Kernel panics are now happening every 10-15 minutes. Looks like its from Apple's USB driver. Not sure how to fix this. Going to downgrade my 2013 iMac back to El Capitan for now and check on the Apple support forums.

If you have network shares in your login items, Sierra prompts you to enter the password for each server after every reboot. The username and password fields are pre-populated, so you just have to hit OK, but it's something that's never been an issue since I began using OS X with 10.1.

Siri voice quality sounds like it time traveled back 4 years or something. Anyone else having this issue? Quality of English speaking should match the iPhone quality but it sounds so old.

Does anyone have a issue with the mirroring option icon?

Normally when you don't have a airplay device or a secondary monitor, this icon will disappear. But after upgrading to Sierra, it just stuck in the menu bar there.

Just updated after using the GM for about a week or so, everything works fine and the bizarre issue I had with USB 3 devices on my rMB seems to be totally fixed now. However, when I open my Mac it doesn't ask for a login and instead goes back as if I had never put it to sleep. If I put it to sleep from the menu bar though, it asks for my login as it should.

EDIT: And now it asks for a login whenever I open the lid. *shrugs*

When dragging files to the top of a Finder window the view doesn't automatically scroll up. Annoying as hell.

Issues so far:
1. Hot Corners doesn't work - I use hot corners to start screensaver and lock the screen when leaving my desk.
2. Can't copy calibration profile to ~/Library/ColorSync/Profiles - tried Finder copy, terminal cp as sudo and also enabled root user but with no success.
3. CH340/CH341 (Serial interface) kext crashes whole machine.

Installed Sierra and noticed that a bunch of photos I had set in my contacts has disappeared, so in iMessage I no longer see contact photos on MacOS.

On my iPhone (iOS 10.0.1) the photos appear under contacts but not under iMessage.

Agh, worse still all my contacts have been duplicated on my iPhone - all of them. On my Mac there is still only a single entry. Update - I spoke too soon now I have a duplicate of every contact on my Mac and iPhone.

Another year, another version of Pulse Secure VPN that doesn't work on an OS update. It hasn't worked throughout the betas and it's launch day and there's no fix. Unfortunately, their software is behind an enterprise login page so someone at my corporate IT has to update the Pulse VPN Server for us to be able to download the new version (that or a university could end up hosting it).

In addition, ESET Cyber Security for Mac was updated on Sierra Launch day so that incompatibility is gone. McCaffe Antivirus is still not updated for Sierra.

I own a MacBook Pro Retina, Mid 2012 with a 2.7 Ghz processor and 16 GB Ram. I attempted to upgrade from OS X El Capitan 10.11.6 to OS Sierra 10.12.

Immediately after installation I had the following issues with Sierra:
  • Sierra wouldn’t recognize my AOC Monitor 2560 x 1440 screen resolution, and there was no option under “Scaled” to change the resolution, the highest option was 1080P by holding down the option key.
  • Neither the external or internal audio would work, it took 3 reboots for it to finally return.
  • After installation my Macbook ran extremely hot, the fans never cut off, there were no applications running; it’s never gotten this hot before.
  • A speed test confirmed that the Wifi also ran slower than normal.
After about an hour of troubleshooting I ended up rolling back to 10.11.6 as I mainly use my Macbook for work. Just thought I'd voice some of the issues I had, I'll be attempting an upgrade again with the next update.

My hot corners work, I do the same thing. Maybe try to set them back up from scratch?

Here's a bug -

Lock screen - Wi-Fi indicator shows the "Off" status (hollow triangle), when in fact it is connected to Wi-Fi.

Also, mission control is janky as hell, why did they change it??? El Cap's was perfect.
