Nice captures with a phone 👏🏻ITS MILKY WAY TIME!!!
I went to my usual dark sky location to test the iPhone 14 pro max in night mode. I must say the new larger sensor is 4x better than the 13 pro max. The Milky Way looks way more realistic and like a DSLR image……finally! Crazy to see these at ISO 12,500 and 10,000… wow. The max ISO of the new sensor is 12,768! Wow. But the images are clean at that ISO. I’m impressed. My iPhone was tracked on my skywatcher Star Adventurer during the 30” exposure to keep the stars pinpoint.
ProRAW and edited in Lightroom mobile.

How about posting a image of your setup for taking these images, used to have a Celestron with tracking, but that was long ago.
Please help. 3.3 seconds. I could never get 30.Dang… what happened? Was this 30” or 3”. Hopefully I can help you with your next attempt
Ok… well you will only get 10” handheld, 30” on a tripod. If swipe up from just above the camera options at the bottom on the screen, you will see the yellow spot, this is the night mode icon. Slide the exposure limiter to the left to get the maximum exposure time. In this example I could only get 3s because the space I pointed my iPhone camera at wasn’t dark enough for a longer exposure. But at night, it will show 30” max… so give this a try. Please help. 3.3 seconds. I could never get 30.
When you open your camera and it’s dark outside, top left corner shows a yellow oval button with seconds shown (2 or 3s), which indicates night mode is on. Swipe up from near the bottom to show the other yellow round button. You’ll touch that, and you’ll see a numeric slider. slide that all the way to the left and if your hand holding the phone it will show 10 seconds maximum, if you’re on a tripod, it will show 30 seconds maximum depending on lighting conditions.
The iPhone has an accelerometer built in, that is what makes games and the compass work etc. It knows when it is handheld and when it is stationary. You will see night mode switch from 10s to 30s when the iPhone recognizes that it is still. How does the phone know if your on a tripod or not? I never known about these settings, but would love to try and take some photos as half as good as the ones in here!
Cool found my iphone tripod forgot where I put it back in X or 11 days LOL. Now to have a night or two to experiment LOL. Yeah this 14 ProMax is a beautiful phone lovin itThe iPhone has an accelerometer built in, that is what makes games and the compass work etc. It knows when it is handheld and when it is stationary. Excellent! Let’s see what you get. Remember that ProRAW offers better quality than jpeg when shooting the night sky.Cool found my iphone tripod forgot where I put it back in X or 11 days LOL. Now to have a night or two to experiment LOL. Yeah this 14 ProMax is a beautiful phone lovin it
Sweet thanks for this information never really played with these features more to do. Question I also have the latest Halide II upgraded it because back in day liked it but again never dug deeply into it. Looks like I can do a lot just with the apple photo appOk… well you will only get 10” handheld, 30” on a tripod. Excellent resultsMy attempt at the Milky Way using a camping table instead of a tripod to get a 30 second exposure. No editing. This camera is proving to be fun to play with. View attachment 2079392

Nah… LOL, yours is a lightweight compared to the one I used to have…this was a beast in size. It was like a pet elephant moving it around. It had wheelbarrow handles with two wheels to move it. This was my 20” dobsonian. They are made up to 25” these days. Here is a link.Skywatcher 200P
Was a surprise gift for my 50th from my wife and daughter. I'm always pointing out planets and constellations when out walking the dog so they got me this and it blows me away every time I use it. It's a bit of a beast in size.
