All iMacs go to core 2 duo plus a new 24" iMac. Lower prices as far as I can tell from he UK store.

CONFIMATION! 24" iMac with Core Duo 2

Look! I was looking at prices of macs and one the Australian education webist ethere are ads for the new imacs! The link goes to the old site with the 17" and 20" imac with the core due. Theres a new corde duo 2. I swear I have not photoshopped this.! It's awesome news! I'm so excited!

Im so happy! I got an imac just last week so im still within my 14 day no question return period. roll on 24"!!
I was expecting them to released in a week, bby which time i would be out of the return period

The UK store is working and all iMacs plus the new 24" are now core 2 duo and te prices are reduced.

Ack, they still haven't updated the Aussie Education store properly yet. It's on the splash, but no new macs showing.

That being said, the timing is nice. I DO hope they put the price either down, or the specs have been bumped noticably.

very nice... i'm wondering why this wasn't on the front page of MR

maybe my parents will make the move from their PPC Mac mini to a new Intel iMac now :)

The 17" and 20" has become much cheaper, too... :)

But with 2 x 512 MB as the lowest RAM configuration (except for the 17" which also can be bought with 2 x 256) I foresee a lot of wasted RAM once people get their cheaper 3rd party RAM... why not an option to get 1 x 512 or even 1 x 1 GB? :(

Well this sucks . . . I just bought my iMac back in April! Once I heard that the Core 2's were out, I knew Apple would upgrade ASAP. I just knew it. :(
