Personally I wish we could get more communicator style filfa les like the Oppo Find N2 yet I realize the squat design gives way to smaller battery life but it also gives a larger and more wider landscape screen experience. Seems the trend for a more 8x11 scalable screen experience is favoured.
What do you mean by “OPO”?I like this update less. I find the GPF to be too short when unfolded and I think the same thing is going to happen with the OPO. Sure it's awesome for the cover screen but I'm not a fan of how it affects the inner screen. However if you prefer the GPF over the GF than this will appeal to you.

Unsure as some pics of the OnePlus Open seem to show a tapered-off edges (right side when in closed-smartphone slab mode, and outside edges when in Communicator-style open mode).
This means a smaller battery and an odd holding experiences since the bulk of the weight would be centred and holding from one edge or another, depending on R/L-hand dominance, would have an off-centre balance or a wrist-torque feeling.

Looks like the Oppo Find N2 type design is what we’ll get which means a Sweet one-handed operation when closed! I’m not expecting superior camera performance but equal to iPhone 14 Pro in terms of quality zoom and raw image support - yet without the plaguing lens flare issues.
So the old render on the left while the new render on the right (which shows the ear speaker above the selfie camera). The issue with leaked renders is that one’s like we’ve seen with this device causes a LIT of people to give up on waiting and end up buying the competition based on perception a competitor to the Fold 5 (older leaks) vs the current one close to the N2 design.
The wait is on however this late in the production phase switching internal screens from BOE to Samsung will affect production especially in terms of fit-finish or quality of production as well as any potential IPxx certifications if any.
I feel IPxx is more crucial on filfa les than it ever has been on feature phones (SE) or slab smartphones.

I think it's going to be close to the width of the Pixel Fold... Maybe a tad narrower and obviously taller than the PF and less than the Fold 5
Looks great to me. I'll be very curious to see reviews of this device when they drop.
They typically release products under the OPPO brand in third world and countries generally with a lot of poverty.
Does OPPO make a foldable yet?
I know times are tough in the UK right now but I don't think it's hit third world/poverty status yet. 😂

Priced higher than rumors ...ughh can't commit that price point to OnePlus on my end
$1700? I’m looking at that as a good sign for future pricing from Samsung and Google.. they might end up matching it for the upcoming Fold 6 and Pixel Fold 2.
I wish we were at that point where we could get foldables (in the States) at that price. We're basically still at $2,000 with taxes.
We're still years off from budget Foldables. Heck, they still haven't fixed the big issues in the flagships (crease, durability, software, etc.). I'd hate to see what a budget foldable looks like in the US. Lol.

I don't know, those specs OnePlus has for it... already makes a statement. 48MP+48MP and 64MP periscope. Then there's 32MP and 20MP selfies, that's really good compared to the competitors in the US.
