This is gonna be one massive upgrade

1) Display: First device to use Samsung's next gen M10 OLED Material and 120Hz refresh rate

2) Camera: 108 MP Samsung ISOCELL Bright HM1 sensor using 9:1 Pixel binning giving 12MP image with 2.4µm pixel size.

3) Battery: S11e: 4000mAh, S11: 4500mAh, S11+: 5000mAh

4) CPU: Snapdragon 865, Exynos 990

5) Modem: 5G for all models

I will 100% be upgrading to the Note11+. There goes my plan to keep the Note 10+ for 2 years.

Yep it will be a game changer just with the rumored camera improvements! Then add in all the rest of the features...wow.
There will be a pre-order with my name on it....

As appealing as the camera sounds with all the new tech etc, I'm reserving judgement until I've seen actual pictures from it. Far too easy to read a spec sheet and assume it will wipe the floor with everything else.

agreed.....i can't find it right now but there is a phone out already with with Samsung's phone system but without the software enhancements/post processing. The pictures were amazing but Samsung's should be better.

You're thinking of the Xiaomi phones. They are using Samsung's 108MP ISOCELL Bright HMX sensor, but for the S11 line, Samsung will be using a custom second gen ISOCELL Bright HM1 sensor. And will definitely have better post processing than Xiaomi. Xiaomi is also not using 9:1 binning.

* I corrected my original post to clarify HM1 and not HMX sensor.

I've no doubt it's camera system will be a good improvement on the current S10/Note10. But will probably take a couple of releases with tweaks to get the best from it. Like how the Note 10 is currently their best camera, despite using the same sensor on previous models.

Wow i said on page 2 the name s11 is plain boring 🙃🙃 now likely the phone will be called s20

I've always felt that phone companies should use the year as part of the alpha numeric naming of their devices. This way there is no confusion for customers to know which phone is the newest. So calling it the Galaxy S20, S21, S22, etc...would be absolutely practical naming for marketing.

The camera is interesting indeed, but I’m a bit worried about whether the Exynos variant matches the SnapDragon performance improvements. I’ll most likely skip pre-orders as usual with Samsungs, but I think I’ll be on a lookout for when the first deals land in a couple of months or so :)

I'd be surprised if that's the actual release date. We had the same last year. People touting an earlier than usual release date but it turned out to be the unveiling instead.

happens every year :) If they announce on the Tuesday Feb 18th then pre-orders start Friday Feb 21....deliveries should be March 6th

My point was that the article makes people believe that's when it hits the stores/gets delivered. People were also talking about a much earlier actual release date of late Jan/early Feb last year.

The past 2 years they've hit the shelves in March. 16th for the S9, 8th for the S10.

Hoping they can keep the base model S11+ at a grand (like the S10+), but with all the new bells and whistles it may be difficult.
