The Great "Third Party Band/Strap" Thread

I was searching for a stand for apple watch at Amazon and I came across one. What interested me was the watch band on the product photo and the the charger. The SS finish on the charger look beautiful and the watch band is even better. Can some one tell me which band it is?

Looks like an Apple Watch Magnetic Charging Cable (0.3m). I don't see them anymore on the Apple site - only the 1m version which does not have the shiny metal sides.

I am a woman with small wrists and I have issues with third party bands from Amazon. I have no issues with fit with Apple bands. Here is my fit with Apple’s Trail Loop and a third party dealer from Amazon. I wish I knew the solution to this besides growing bigger wrists…lol!

The green alpine loop on the outside in the pics came with my ultra. Edit: size M

This 4 pack is a steal. Other than the “49mm” label on the inside and a few VERY minor fit and finish details (mostly the cut of the narrower, loop fabric at the ends) these are every bit as good as my Apple one. The wider, main band is a different fabric than the official band, but very close and not necessarily a cheaper fabric. The lugs and the g hook are the same size and 98% the same finish. The g hook in particular, I can’t tell the difference. The lugs are just a hair looser than the apple lugs in the watch.

For $6.50 a band, they are the best value knockoffs I’ve bought, and that goes back to the original sport band knockoffs in the original neon colors when knockoffs first started showing up on Amazon years ago.

If you like this style band, jump on these. Having nicer colors options (just IMO) is icing on the cake.

Yeah, from what I could see that appears to be the case.

I was getting Instagram ads for a company that had some great looking Apple Watch ultra style bands in different colors than apple offered, and I want to say they were doing a buy 1 get 2 free deal (or maybe buy 2 get 1 free) a couple of week back. And now that I finally ordered myself an ultra, naturally, I can’t find the website anymore. Does anyone have any idea of what site it might be? The bands were in the $20 range if I remember correctly. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I looked at them too. But I was afraid to order them and find out they were the same cheap knockoffs as I purchased before. It was Kiwi-band.com……..you would think they were from New Zealand…but look at shipping times and they take longer to arrive there than USA. Their return policy contradicts itself also.
It appears they are shipped from China and their website originates in Germany……with a New Zealand vibe.
Furthermore I have found lookalikes on eBay from China for fractions of Kiwis cost.
I would love to get a black Alpine like band of good quality and that’s a Large….not a medium size.
I just tried their website….but they are down or disappeared. Lol

Agreed, we need to find a 3rd party who makes 2 lengths of Trail Loop.

Has anyone found any knock-off trail loop or alpine loop bands on Amazon where the lugs actually FIT properly on the Ultra? So many of the reviews that I look at with pictures all look like they fit terribly.

I am obsessed with braided solo loops right now but I don’t have Apple money, and even $40 on eBay is pricy when you’re unemployed 🤷🏻‍♀️ I went ahead and ordered the 2 colors I love most from the Urvoi store and I’m only nervous about sizing. Apple 9 is comfortably loose on me with my Ultra but I measured a 10 with the Apple tool, so I ordered M, hoping it’s a tiny bit more snug than Apple 9 is for me.

please post pics and review when you receive them. I hear they’re not as good as before anymore so i didn’t order. They were good 2 years ago when i did order.

My latest band from Bandwerk for my Ultra arrived this week, it is part of the limited orange Friday collection.

Looks better in real life than the dodgy photos above!

Very pleased with it, pretty comfortable and once its been worn a few times should be perfect.
It will be one for those slightly smarter occassions.

Aliexpress “Urvoi” bands just arrived. Rainforest and pistachio. I tried to edit out my nasty hands for you 😂 the side by side close up is Apple Inverness green size 9 compared to Urvoi rainforest size M, so it’s very close. It’s comfortably snug enough to keep my watch where I am comfortable wearing it, which everyone tells me is too tight, but if it’s any more loose the watch moves around and slides down, I’m just fat so it looks tight I guess 🤷🏻‍♀️ anyway, happy with these bands so far, I’m going to use one for a while and see how it holds up.
