I have ordered this https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07G3Y8BRT/ref=pe_3187911_185740111_TE_item

Any other suggestions that meet the following criteria?

1. Available from (preferably) the U.K., but EU will do in a pinch if it’s the right case.
2. The case protects the sides. Not interested in the pencil, so I don’t see the point exposing the sides which means they will inevitably get damaged.
3. Has just the one fold in the cover like this https://www.spigen.com/collections/...5-2018-case-stand-folio?variant=9581225082927 or the one I have already ordered. I find the cases whose covers fold into a triangle are no where stable enough.

How long did it take for them to post your order?

I waited two weeks and nothing. Filed a PayPal claim and they sent in a fake tracking number to PayPal. I appealed and got the full money back but I don’t trust them one bit.

I ordered 30th November and received it today, I'm in Europe. Around a month. It took PaperLike two and a half weeks to get my screen protector so I wasn't too surprised. Holidays and Black Friday sales can do that.

I’m waiting for a Slickwraps order from 12/12, which hasn’t shipped yet. From now on, DecalGirl or iStyles (which seems to sell DecalGirl products?) seem like the way to go, as my order a few days after the Slickwraps one arrived in time for Christmas.

I got the sleeve from Waterfield and unfortunately I’ll be sending it back. I didn’t realize the pocket had a huge zipper that created a large bump. It prevents me from wedging my iPad between my keys-to-go and my notebook, which I like to do for added protection.

I got this Moko case for the iPad 12.9 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07H86GWKW/

Practically the same as the Apple Folio in quality, the only difference is that it’s considerably heavier...

for the 12.9, moko case is 344g, regular folio is 242g, so... considerably more weight.

don’t have the details for the 11” right now but I don’t think the extra weight matters as much because the iPad is smaller and lighter.

I got a folio just like this one and I LOVE it. The leather feel (albeit PU leather) just gives the iPad a more professional look, IMO. It is heavier, however. The leather is the heavier material. I’ve thought this is the case Apple should’ve made with real leather, but they were probably really concerned about the weight of the case and went with the plastic material.

STM is now releasing a really nice looking and heavy duty case. Check out their video it is hilarious. I could not see one for the 12.9" 2018. I've send an e-mail to them about that possibility. In the meantime enjoy the video. Just scroll down. BTW I'm just a consumer. Not affiliated with them in any way.

Scroll down on the linked page; it gives details for one for the 12.9 iPP. Maybe it's coming soon?

Very nice case, issue is just like with the Zugu case its only available in black. I would buy it if they had it in violet or maybe pink not sure when they will have additional colors

Wouldn’t think it’d take too long for the red/blue - if you scroll through the images, they’re there now.

I’m using this case from ESR. From what I can tell it’s pretty similar to the official Apple folio case. I don’t mind the sides aren’t protected and in fact I prefer it. I can understand not everyone will like that as it offers less protection but I like the more minimalist design. Plus it means less chance of dust and grime getting inside onto the iPad. The magnets are very strong too but it’s very easy to take off if I want to use the iPad naked. It’s also a fraction of the price of the official case.

I'm using a UAG Metropolis Series case (in Magma color). I don't use a keyboard and I'm waiting to get a pencil. Snug fit, so snug that it curled up the edges of my MediaDevil screen protector, so I had to remove it.

I'm coming from an iPP 10.5 with a LifeProof case, and LifeProof told me that they won't make one for the iPP 11. I needed something in the meantime until the Otterbox releases their Defender Series case (which is $90, but that's still not as much as the $120-130 I paid for the LifeProof one).

Edit: Otterbox confirmed that their Defender Series case isn't waterproof or dustproof. Ugh.

I have the same sleeve for my iPad Pro 11”. I have one for my iPad Pro 9.7” but it’s a horizontal sleeve with no outside pocket with a zipper. It’s also a bit more pad offering more protection. I do prefer it to the new one and I did think about sending the new one back but the pocket doesn’t really bother me and is not impractical for me. Also it might come in handy at some point. It’s a pity the new iPad doesn’t fit in the old case.

Am I missing something in my online research or is the Otterbox Symmetry almost exactly the same weight as the ASK?

Just received this folio from ESR for the iPad Pro 11

ESR Case for iPad Pro 11 inch 2018 Release, [Apple Pencil Compatible] Magnetic Smart Case, Trifold Stand Magnet Case, Magnetic Attachment, Auto Sleep/Wake, Rubberized Cover, Black https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B07HQCDYTK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_s2ghCbMDEWZVX

It’s extremely light weight and the magnets are reasonably strong. The tri-fold stand works in both positions and sleep wake function works flawlessly.

Highly recommend as a cheap but quality alternative to the Apple Smart folio

One of the amazon reviews claim it is not sized correctly and the inside is a lint magnet - what's your take on this? Really looking for a cheap alternative to the insanely overpriced Apple Smart Folio

Mine is not attracting lint at all. It also fits perfectly around the edges of the iPad.
