macOS Sierra 10.12: Compatible Apps

On Fuji ScanSnap I definitely would NOT upgrade to Sierra. From Fuji themselves on 9/20:
"Some pages of the PDF files that have been generated with ScanSnap application may become blank pages when they are edited or converted to searchable PDF files on macOS Sierra."
they had several other warnings but I think saying your pages may be ERASED is a good enough reason to not use ScanSnap on Sierra!

works here... after a reinstall. but running fine.

I just tried Devonthink pro office and sync not working between my iMac (now on sierra) and my MacBook (on el capitan) nor between iMac and iPhone on Devonthink to go
Aperture crashes badly upon hitting the "F" key for full screen. Any attempt to switch tabs with "w" key also crashes the program so badly you have to rebuild your library to work it again. So don't attempt to show the program in full screen in any way... you will regret it! I am deeply saddened apple has abandoned its pro market with the demise of Aperture and FCP. Pro graphics people have been the stalwart hard core supporters of Apple from the beginning and bought high end machines. With several hundreds of billions in the bank at home and abroad and tens of thousands of employees it is just unbelievable apple couldn't maintain a pro devision to keep these apps up to date and competitive.

They're usually good about updating, so nice to see them being prompt.
I'm sticking with 2011 for as long as possible. 2016 has too many "improvements" that I simply cannot bear.
This not the case with my installation.
I created test library and no problems detected.
Also works with my huge (100000 images) library.
Full screen mode works, i can switch panels with "W" shortcut.
I checked and two of problems listed in release note do NOT happen.
At least I checked this two (info taken from here https://bjtechnews.org/2016/06/13/macos-10-12-developer-preview-seed-1-release-notes/ ):
• On systems with AMD graphics, when using the clone stamp Aperture quits unexpectedly.
• On systems with AMD graphics, the system print dialog appears as a black box.
It's OK to clone for me. Aperture do print correctly.
Moreover, my feeling is that Sierra improved multi-tasking and processor's load distrubution.
My 12-core MacPro 5.1 works better.
I see 960% load at the image import processing and up to 1400% at the export time (as per Activity monitor).
Simply put - Aperture@Sierra works faster for me.

I've added GPSPhotoLinker to the list of incompatible applications.

Just installed Sierra on my 2014 11" MBA and performed a preliminary test with iWork '09.
iWork '09 looks good so far!
Startup performance is significantly better than it was under OSX El Cap. On El Cap a black window would appear first and then 1-3 seconds later the application window would display. With Sierra, startup is virtually instantaneous and no black window.
DISCLAIMER: This hasn't been an exhaustive test of all dialogs and features, but what I have tested worked flawlessly. Things in the past that caused an issue (crayon color picker changing to colored pencils) are working fine. If I find something or some reports something I'll modify this post.

Yeah - You might want to pick something other than Grayscale as the colour mode for your new document.
CrashPlan Users--Got this in reply to my question on CrashPlan working with Sierra.
"At this time, CrashPlan has not been fully tested on OS X Sierra. While our initial run of CrashPlan has not yielded any immediate problems, we would recommend waiting for about a weeks time for full testing on this operating system to be done. On "new document page" choose color mode RBG not Greyscale

Yeah - You might want to pick something other than Grayscale as the colour mode for your new document.

Ah, the crash of compatibility. And last but not least –
– the compatible problem.
i've been running crashplan successfully thru every public beta of sierra (altho needed to re-install the app a few times... including for the final sierra release). otherwise, i continue to backup without issue.
