I find that odd. I have Bartender 2.1.6 installed on an unsupported iMac running the Sierra final release. It appears to be running just fine without incident. Is your only problem that the app icons change order after you reboot? Personally, I don't care in what order my icons load in the menubar, just as long as they do load. In fact, I never try to reorder them. But I fully understand that some folks are more meticulous about that point than others.

i have one icon that refuses to stay where i put it; so if/when i reboot, i move it where i want it, and get on with the day. i'd be annoyed if SEVEN icons did that, but i'd move them where i want, and get on with it; i don't reboot often. meanwhile, hopefully there will be a bug fix coming...

Yeah, as I said, that would be a minor issue for me. There are too many other more important things to frustrate us in this life than menubar icons, in my view. :)

I run a web server here, so I also try to avoid rebooting unless I am installing system software or some other software that actually requires a reboot. Or if my machine becomes overly sluggish, or my memory too fragmented, I will also reboot. Normally, that means every few days.

Just wondering if anyone has worked out how to install Photoshop CC on a MacBook running Sierra. When i try to run the installer, i get the following message:
ERROR
The installation cannot continue as the installer file may be damaged. Download the installer file again.

I can run the same installer on my iMac running El Capitan no problems.
Is there a workaround?

Anyone able to solve the Pulse Secure conundrum as of yet? I remember last year there were issues with the services not able to properly resolve two certificates & manually installing those into Keychain Access solved that mystery. So far no luck with Pulse Secure 5.2.1 (227) as the issues with failed backend services look to be similar to those from last year.

5.2.5 (869) works
[doublepost=1474818698][/doublepost]promise utility (for pegasus disk arrays) main window does not display but menu bar and dock icon opens and are responsive.

I know the Wiki says it is incompatible, but does anyone have personal experience? Can anyone say definitively that it does not work? It is a pretty expensive piece of software to have to replace.

You can open this file with Seconday Click (Right Click or ⌃CTRL+Click) in Finder and choose open. GateKeeper is the culprit here not allowing you to open the installer.

added Canon EOS Utility 2.14.20 as incompatible. Program starts but does not connect to camera anymore. No more photo import or camera remote control. Which would be the main purpose of the application. Using the MacOSX standard Digital Images app would be the functioning workaround for photo import, this one works fine.

added Epson Printers: Scanning ICA Driver (5.8.6) to Limited Compatibility. Scanning multiple pages into one document does not work anymore. Only one page can be scanned and saved, following scans into a same document go missing. Every new scan must now be initiated with an additional preview scan (instead of directly scanning every new page).

added DxO OpticsPro Elite 10.5.4 to Limited Compatibility: image work area became super small, hardly workable. some control switches are overlayed by their labels, still functioning though.

Slowly I start to consider rolling back to 10.11 .....

This might only apply to a small percentage of users, but the original AirMail - Version 1.4.2 (251) - works on Sierra as well.

Pages 4.3 & Numbers 2.3 have been working without issues for me in my everyday use in Sierra for at least the last two months.

I can confirm that as well, no issues whatsoever under macOS Sierra 10.12.1 (on an incompatible mid 2009 MacBook Pro, for that matter); not sure who put it up on the list as incompatible. :)

I had an issue with the Canon printer driver (Japanese multifunction B&W laser printer and scanner) so I wrote Canon, who said they would post new drivers today. Download the new drivers, installed and get the same error, "filter failed" or something. Complained to Canon who said they tested on their macOS Sierra machine and had no issue printing. So the issue is my old Office 2011 (but other apps have the same error) or the Beta version I was running. Or maybe just my old Maac Pro 2009. Will try again after reverting to a new 10.12 non0beta install. Compared with this fussed up OS, El Cap seems spiffy clean!
Edit: Was the Beta that caused that printing issue, a new install to 10.12 and printing works again,
Still not perfect as the printer has an error after the print job is done, so I have to turn the printer off and then on again, but at least I can print again

The problem with compatibility lists like this one is, without the version number for the compatibility report, it's next to useless.
